Here in the Treasure Valley, few musicians have the talent and skill to meet the high expectations of Boise Philharmonic Maestro Robert Franz. But amazingly, in a recent audition, a 16-year-old high school student made the cut.
Renaud Boucher-Browning is a senior at Boise High School and now a professional Double-Bass player with the symphony orchestra, playing side-by-side with the organization’s most seasoned musicians.
Boucher-Browning began his musical training with the piano, but at age ten, his musical interests turned to conducting. Then, at 11 years of age, he became enthralled with the Double-Bass, a massive stringed instrument that dwarfs other symphonic instruments.
